Unboxing Your BallcapBuddy
Open your premium BallcapBuddy package. Inside you'll find the cage unit, a microfiber storage pouch, a quick-start guide, and our lifetime care card.
Inspect all components for shipping damage
Remove protective silicone caps from cage openings
Attach the silicone base pad to your sink (optional)
Verify all rubber materials are intact and supple

Preparing Your Cap
Choose a cap with care. BallcapBuddy works with all structured caps — from vintage to brand new, leather brims to mesh backs.
Remove any loose lint or dust with a soft brush
Empty all pockets — remove pins, badges, or clips
If heavily soiled, pre-rinse under cool running water
Never remove the cap or stiffener — we wash them together

Loading the Cage
Gently nestle your cap crown-first into the cage. The vertical bars cradle the cap's structure while the silicone base protects the bill.
Position cap with crown centered and facing down
Ensure bill rests flat on the protective base
Verify no bar pins touch the fabric directly
Confirm cap sits snugly — no excessive movement

Filling the Washer
Place the loaded BallcapBuddy into your washing machine on a delicate cycle. Add a mild detergent — never bleach or harsh chemicals.
Washer temperature: Cold or warm (never hot)
Cycle: Delicate, Hand Wash, or Gentle
Detergent: Gentle, fragrance-free formula only
Water level: Full load — ensure proper circulation
Optional: Wash with similar colors only

Drying Like a Pro
After washing, remove the BallcapBuddy and gently remove your cap. Air dry only — never use heat, dryers, or direct sunlight.
Reshape the crown to original form immediately
Place on a clean, flat surface to dry naturally
Drying time: 4–8 hours depending on humidity
Avoid windowsills — UV light can fade colors
Never wring, squeeze, or twist the fabric

Storage & Longevity
Store your clean cap in a cool, dry place. Use our premium microfiber pouch for travel or long-term storage to protect from dust and fading.
Ideal storage: 60–75°F, 40–60% humidity
Avoid plastic bags — they trap moisture
